By default each comment also contains the sending account and the sending user. The sending account is set to the account from which the comment is sent. And the sending user is set to the user first name and last who sent the comment.
Once created, a comment information cannot be changed, even if user or account name change.
For items that have never been exchanged, it is not possible to create a comment, as no one will be able to receive it.

When a comment thread is created on a collected item (on an internal table), by default the user who published the item from the shared table is notified by email of the comment.
In case the publishing user is not active on partner side, the oldest active administrator on that partner is notified by email. If none exists, no notification is sent.
The recipient user is added to the list of subscribers on the comment thread and will be automatically notified of all following comment responses.
When a comment thread is created on a published item (on a shared table), no email notification is sent as no specific recipient user on partner side can be designated.
To monetize the Comments feature to customers, a feature toggle Comments history exists to limit the duration during which comments (threads) can be seen in the interface. By default this feature toggle is set to 90 days.
In App, when opening the Comments side view, users can only see comments (threads) that have been created on and less than the number of days set in the feature toggle.
